Phoebe with Floral Crown Pin

This charity pin was inspired by Phoebe the CH Kitty, and is a commemorative pin in celebration of her very 1st birthday. Phoebe is a happy-go-lucky kitty who also happens to have cerebellar hypoplasia (“CH”).

This is one of two designs available individually or as a pair.

CH is a developmental condition in which the cerebellum of the brain fails to develop properly. The cerebellum is the area of the brain which controls fine motor skills, balance and coordination. The most typical symptoms are jerky or uncoordinated walking, and mild headache tremors. There is no pain or discomfort and CH kitties will learn to adapt to their disability over time. Frustratingly, CH can be easily prevented by vaccinating female cats against panleukopenia prior to pregnancy.
